From Desktop VR, to Mobile, to AR HMDs, I love to create and explore new interface systems.

As a UI Artist with experience in XR and 3D graphics, my mission is to design and implement interfaces within Unity. Designing natively frees the developers from implementation to focus on functionality.

OrigaMIDI

OrigaMIDI is a multi-dimensional MIDI controller and Augmented Reality visualizer.

You can control a music work station such as Ableton Live with AR image targets that are printed and folded into origami pieces.

 

OrigamMIDI was released to the Apple Store in the summer of 2013, it was featured by Discchord and PC World, and we were invited and granted a prime location booth free of charge next to Vuforia at the Augmented World Expo of 2014.

 
 

Role:

As Part of Scientific Humanities I was in charge of the Art Direction. I did the Visual Design for all the digital and printing material which included all the UI design for the application, visualizer and website.

I designed the the AR image targets in Illustrator and Blender and did the testing for image reco in Vuforia to make sure that we were getting excellent tracking.

I was in charge of the printing material setting up the markers for printing, as well as the business cards.

AR Robotic Arm

Developed a digital AR app to prototype a robotic arm.

 

Role

In this project I did the UI Design. To navigate to different joints of the robot we use the 2D illustration of an arm with buttons placed on its joints. When hovering on the buttons the selected joints will animate showing ambidextrous rotations.

I 3D modeled the robotic arm with all rotations.

A collaboration with Stelarc for an engineering and arts project that was presented in 2012 at Brunel University in London and covered by the Singularity Summit Australia 2012.


VR Mars Explore

VR experience Demo design & developed for Google Cardboard for a Chicago-based Startup.

 

Role

I designed and implemented all UI Graphics within Unity. The style that I chose for this app I called Futuristic Deco, mixing bright desert-like color gradients with bold geometrical shapes.


SOTI

The Spaceship of the Imagination was a demo designed and developed for iOS. It visualizes planet data in interactive 3D to create an online community discussing findings to encourage public involvement in research.
